Welcome to the world of Lake Effect Community Arts, where participation is enticing and being involved makes you feel good. We are a vibrant arts community in the inspiring Upper Peninsula of Michigan where you can connect with others with similar interests, and where wonderful things happen when you join in and allow the creativity to flow.

We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that encourages participation in the arts in Schoolcraft County, Michigan, enriching the lives of the community and all those involved through the diverse and wonderful world of the arts. While Lake Effect Arts does not yet have a permanent home (but we are looking!) things are already happening. We invite you to join in the fun, and be a part of this vibrant community.

We have many plans and ideas both current and future and it is exciting to watch them unfold:

ART: Hands-on classes ~ inspiring exhibits ~ unique sales gallery -- have fun creating and be amazed at what others’ create. There will be something for everyone at Lake Effect Arts.

MUSIC: Simple or complex, soaring or soothing, hands-on music is a wonderful experience where amazing things happen. Join others to make your own, or gather to listen to someone special.

DANCE: From traditional reels to elegant moves, get your feet moving and your body swaying, in person, or in imagination at a performance. Dance is good for the soul as well as the soles.

THEATER: Develop skills, discover fun, enjoy the performing and the involvement. Community theater is an exciting and wide open world of many disciplines and infinite possibilities.
