It is Official! Our 'NEW' Community Arts Center is Happening - NOW!
at the corner of So Cedar and Oak Streets in downtown Manistique

New Art Center building! Thanks to mBank, Lake Effect Community Arts, and the Lake Effect Gallery, will very likely have our very own permanent location sometime this summer, just down the street from the current Art Gallery. Click HERE for more information on this generous donation. We've wanted this for so many years and are very excited to see it happening. Thank you mBank!

We enjoyed our six successful years at the Traders Point location. And several years downtown at 212 S. Cedar Street. Next we are looking forward to even more years at our new permanent location just down the street at the corner of South Cedar and Oak Streets.

A very special THANK YOU to All who are helping to make it Happen!!

It wouldn't Be without YOU.

There is a lot of work to be done to this iconic old building but Lake Effect Community Arts has moved in and is holding classes and other activities already. The Lake Effect Art Gallery will open its 2020 season July 1 in their new home in the building.

Come in and discover the wonderful array of artwork, fine crafts, and gifts created by our talented local and regional artists. It's a special place and we think our visitors are special, too!

A great group of local and regional artists participate in the Lake Effect Art Gallery every year, contributing a wide variety of artwork for sale in many media -- original, quality work which results in a unique collection of art and fine craft that strongly represents our area and the talent of the artists.

It's just a fun place to be!

The Lake Effect Art Gallery is staffed entirely by volunteers, many of whom are the artists whose work is in the Gallery, so visitors have a chance to speak with those directly involved. Profits from the Gallery sales help fund our non-profit Lake Effect Community Arts' classes and activities, benefiting the community as well as our artists.
