Lake Effect Arts receives Grants!
The Art Center is pleased to
announce the recent receipt of three significant grants:
-
$500
from Cloverland Electric Cooperative to upgrade the lighting in
the mBank Ares & Culture Center.
-
$2,000 Arts Project Minigrant from
CUPPAD and MCACA (Michigan Council for Arts and Cultural
Affairs) for our 2021 Kid’s Summer Art Camp. This is a matching
grant and must be matched with cash and/or in-kind donations.
-
$12,942 Capital Improvement grant from
MCACA. This is also a matching grant and must be matched with
cash and/or newly manufactured products. This grant will be used
to help make our Center more ADA compliant and to make repairs
on the building. A complete list of awarded grants by county can
be found here -

We’re very happy to see this money coming into Schoolcraft
County. We would not have been awarded these grants if it
weren’t for the continued support we have received from the
community.
